Advent Conspiracy Church Group Fights Christmas Shopping – TIME
"Christians get all bent out of shape over the fact that someone didn't say 'Merry Christmas' when I walked into the store. But why are we expecting the store to tell our story? That's just ridiculous."

24 ways: Incite A Riot
The HTML5 spec has changed the meaning of the cite tag, but it's wrong. Jeremy reminds us that if we don't implement part of the spec, it becomes fiction. Ensure that bad advice becomes fiction.

the Jesus Manifesto » The Wonder of Christmas
"In the event of Advent, God has spoken and still speaks. As Barth puts it, 'All abstract thought and metaphysics, everything one might know and say of God as Thought, Power and Deed is summed up and completed by the fact that God has spoken and still speaks. Yes, God!'"

Reclaiming the Mission » Tim Keller’s “Country Parson”: The Small Dying Urban/Suburban Church Vs. The Small Country Church as a Training Ground For Mission
"These urban/suburban churches are in a death spiral amidst the vestiges of post Christendom urban/suburban centers. The small country churches are in many cases hanging on and in some cases thriving in a still largely Christian friendly rural culture. I suggest these small dying urban/suburban congregations could be the place for renewal in our times."

Experimental Theology: Notes on Demons & the Powers: Part 8, The Inner Aspect of Material Manifestations of Power
I haven't linked to all the posts in this series, but they are all worth a read. I disagree to an extent, i that I do actually believe that angels and demons are real beings as well as the essence of institutions, but I can still completely respect the admonition to unite the material and spiritual as the writers of Scripture did, that these posts give us. This one, especially, has powerful thoughts on what the role of the church toward the powers should be, and I think it applies regardless.
