Some thoughts on Charles Finney, and a specific sermon he gave, from the folks at 24-7 Prayer. Charles Finney has been an impactful voice in my life, and it's great to see this kind of post.
This is a great post in itself, and it also has an important conversation occurring. Though it specifically relates to the open source world, I would ask any designers who work with developers, as well as any developers who work with designers, to read it.
Julie reminds us to care about sex trafficking, even when it doesn't reach the 24/7 news channels. As another reminder for those who share a city with me, Atlanta is one of the worst cities in the country for sex trafficking.
The Washington Post defends torture. "It places the Washington Post as an adjunct to the Bush-Cheney policy of torturing thousands of prisoners across every theater of war and across the globe."
Many people are getting paranoid about the idea that Adobe CS3 apps may not work in Snow Leopard. At least in the case of Photoshop, fears seem to be unfounded.

"A Central Intelligence Agency inspector general’s report set to be released Monday provides new details about abuses that took place inside the agency’s secret prisons, including details of how C.I.A. officers carried out mock executions and threatened at least one prisoner with a gun and a power drill."
A new element, mark, appears in HTML5 with some great potential, especially for things like search results. I could see this being very impactful for SEO in the coming years.
While I am an advocate for a public option, this co-op option is interesting. It is especially interesting in light of the actions of people like Shane Claiborne in their own pursuits of healthcare for the poor and marginalized. I hope we hear more about this, but I do hope the decision is not yet made. That being said, Democrats are pathetically squandering their majority, and it is disgusting.
